Moving Forward Together

As we embrace the dawn of December, I am honored to reiterate our shared vision and commitment toward fostering a vibrant and thriving association. At NAPE, our primary focus remains your satisfaction as members and fostering transparent and effective communication channels within our association.

Reflecting on the recently concluded Annual International Conference, the resounding success of this event was a testament to your active participation. We will continue in ensure that the valuable outcomes and insights gained from this conference are effectively communicated to the relevant authorities, solidifying our stance on pivotal industry matters.

Moving forward, we are dedicated to incorporating industrial roundtable discussions into our programs. This initiative aims to create engaging platforms for robust discourse and knowledge exchange among industry experts and policymakers, further enriching our association’s depth of understanding and insights.

Our focus for the upcoming year is centered on enhancing our global visibility and indexing the NAPE Bulletin. This strategic initiative is geared towards elevating the recognition of our technical papers, thereby spotlighting the excellence and expertise embedded within our association on a wider spectrum. We are committed to actively engaging in major forums and conferences to amplify our voice and presence within the industry. This active participation will serve as a platform for us to contribute meaningfully to pertinent discussions and establish our influence in shaping industry dialogues and advancements.

On the University Assistance Program, we are poised to hit the ground running. Strengthening collaborations between academia and industry is pivotal in our collective pursuit of enhancing the quality of teaching and practical learning experiences. NAPE is more than just an organization; it is a close-knit group of people who are all committed to fostering the next generation of geoscientists and sharing a passion for Earth sciences. Together, we stand as a beacon of hope, actively enhancing geoscience education and research in Nigeria through our university assistance programs, strategic initiatives, and valuable partnerships.

Welcoming our new Board of Trustees (BOT) to steer the association for the next five years fills us with great anticipation. The Executive Committee eagerly anticipates fostering a collaborative and productive relationship with our BOT to realize our shared aspirations for NAPE’s growth and prosperity. The following are the members of the BOT for the next five years:

Mr. Babajide Agbabiaka, FNAPE-Member

Mrs. Adedoja Ojelabi, FNAPE-Member

Dr. Nosa Omorodion, FNAPNE – Member
