NAPE Summer School 2026: Day Two Successfully Concludes

NAPE Summer School 2026: Day Two Successfully Concludes

The Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE) continued its NAPE Summer School 2026 with another intensive and engaging day of technical training, building on the foundational discussions and learning established during Day One.

The day featured three key technical sessions:

•David Odofin, Baker Hughes Nigeria: AI/ML applications in diagnostics, recommendations, autonomous control, and energy operations.

•Adebisi Oluwatayo, Baker Hughes Nigeria: Practical applications of AI-enabled technologies and Baker Hughes drilling solutions, including the Kantari™️ ecosystem.

•Cornelius Animba, Halliburton Landmark: Fundamentals, applications, enabling technologies, and adoption of AI/ML within the energy industry.

Participants actively engaged the facilitators through questions, discussions, and technical observations, gaining practical insights into the role of AI/ML in improving technical and operational workflows.

Day Two successfully concluded on a strong note, with participants leaving with broader perspectives on the capabilities of AI/ML technologies, their practical applications, and the opportunities they present for fast improving technical and operational workflows across the energy value chain.

NAPE appreciates the facilitators, participants, partners, and organising team for their contributions to the success of the programme.

As the NAPE Summer School 2026 progresses, further updates from the programme will be shared with members.
