The Abuja Chapter April Technical/Business Meeting was held 26th April, 2023. It was a hybrid event. The Speaker was Prof. Charles Ofoegbu.
Abstract: Block LIA and Block l3 located within the Lamu Basin in Kenya are operated by A-Z Petroleum Products. Preliminary results of the Petrophysical Studies are presented here.
The studies, results of which are presented here covers Regional Geology, Stratigraphy (Sedimentology, Petrography, Well Correlation and Palaeogeography), Source Rocks and Basin Modeling, Petrophysical Analysis, Seismic Processing and Interpretation, identification of Hydrocarbon Plays, prospects and Leads Resource and Risk Assessment.
The studies were carried out in conjunction with a Team from Prime Energy led by Jon Rod who were retained as Consultants.
