NAPE has continued its Computer Workstation Donation Initiative across Nigeria’s geopolitical zones, this time making a stop in the South-West.
The Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ogun State received the second high-end geological interpretation workstation, presented by the NAPE President, Johnbosco Uche, FNAPE, and warmly received by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Johnson Ayodeji Agboola.
During the visit, the NAPE president highlighted the association’s commitment to Human Capital Development and its ongoing efforts to bridge the gap between the academia and the industry. In response, the Vice Chancellor commended NAPE for the impactful gesture, noting that the Tech Support Drive will empower future geoscientists and enhance their entrepreneurial and technical skills.
The NAPE president was accompanied by the University Assistance Program Chair, Dr Ifeanyi Obi. The Vice Chancellor was joined by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics) Prof. Mrs Olatundun Abosede Oderinde. , Head of Department of Earth Sciences, Prof. Adebisi Niyi Olaonipekun and other senior members of the university management team.
This donation is part of NAPE’s broader support for academia through donations, technical trainings, and “train-the-trainer” programs aimed at strengthening geoscience education and industry readiness.
