NAPE at NIES 2026: Day One Overview

The Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists, NAPE, commenced its participation at the Nigeria International Energy Summit (NIES) 2026 in Abuja.

The summit, which convenes key stakeholders from government, industry, and the wider energy value chain, opened with strong emphasis on policy alignment, investment confidence, and Africa’s shared energy future.

NAPE is participating as an Official Exhibitor at the Summit and has been actively engaging delegates, industry professionals, and partners at its exhibition booth, Booth B41. The booth has served as a hub for professional interaction, institutional visibility, and discussions around exploration, capacity development, and the evolving role of geoscience in energy security.

A major highlight of Day One was the participation of the NAPE President, Olajumoke Cecilia Ajayi, FNAPE, as a speaker during Session Three on Regulatory Diplomacy and Policy Architecture. Her contribution focused on the theme, One Africa, One Regulatory Voice, aligning policies for continental prosperity and investment.

The session examined the importance of regulatory coherence, cross border collaboration, and policy consistency in attracting sustainable investment across Africa’s energy sector.

In recognition of her contribution to the session, the NAPE President, Olajumoke Cecilia Ajayi, FNAPE, was presented with an Appreciation Plaque by the Summit organizers, acknowledging her role as a speaker and her leadership contributions.

NAPE’s presence at NIES 2026 underscores the Association’s continued commitment to policy engagement, professional leadership, and strategic dialogue that supports industry growth and national development.
