The Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists successfully held its February Technical and Business Meeting on Wednesday, 25 February 2026, at the Grand Ballroom of Eko Hotel and Suites, with additional virtual participation via Zoom.
The meeting featured a highly insightful technical presentation titled “From Kolmani to New Frontiers: Reducing Exploration Risk and Cost through Integrated Non-Seismic Technologies“, delivered by Mr. Livinus Kigbu, Deputy Manager, Formation Evaluation, NNPC Energy Services Limited. His presentation provided valuable perspectives on the practical application of integrated non-seismic technologies to mitigate exploration risk, enhance well placement accuracy, and improve cost efficiency. He emphasized the importance of multidisciplinary data integration and robust formation evaluation workflows in unlocking frontier basins, including the Kolmani discovery.
